Have people told you that you snore? I know I do.
Being someone who snores can actually impact your life negatively. Partners have sometimes had to sleep in another room because my snoring was too distracting. That cut down on quality time that I got to spend with them.
Some people have woken themselves up snoring, and that “some people” includes me too.
If you or someone you know is a snorer and you are tired of it, then you’ve certainly landed at the right place.
This is my personal honest review of AirSnore.
I must admit, at first I wasn’t convinced that AirSnore would work for me. I’ve tried so many things that claimed they’d stop or minimize my snoring, and each time I (and those around me) were let down.
At one point, I even considered getting surgery to fix my problem, but before going to that drastic measure, I decided to put my skepticism aside and give AirSnore a chance.
I was not disappointed.
An Overview of AirSnore
AirSnore is a mouthpiece that is designed to prevent snoring. There are also drops to help with easier breathing.
The AirSnore mouthpiece, or MAD, is a mandibular advancement device.
In simpler terms, it is a device that moves the lower jaw forward.
By moving your lower jaw forward, this device helps keep you from snoring by preventing your airway from getting restricted while you sleep.
How to Get Started and How Does It Work?
As mentioned above, AirSnore is essentially a two-pronged attack against snoring: the mouthpiece and drops.
Looking closer at the mouthpiece, the way it works for you is you first have to bite the device so that it is shaped to specifically fit your mouth.
To do this, you first have to put the mouthpiece in hot water for about three minutes. This process softens the mouthpiece so it is more malleable and can be shaped.
When biting the mouthpiece to fit your mouth, it is important that you bite down hard enough to make a proper mold of your mouth and teeth without biting so hard as to bite through the device.
Once you’re happy with your mold. It needs to be placed in cold water to set.
The AirSnore mouthpiece adjusts your lower jaw forward, which helps keep your airways open, by preventing your muscles and throat tissues from relaxing and holding your tongue forward.
Though this may sound uncomfortable, I’m happy to report that I have not had any issues with it. However, your experience could be different.
To clean the mouthpiece, you simply need to put it in water that is mixed with toothpaste. Be sure to air dry your mouthpiece for 10 to 15 minutes rather than resorting to drying it with heat.
A cleaning solution for dentures can also be used to clean your mouthpiece rather than the water and toothpaste mixture.
The AirSnore drops are designed to ensure that you can breathe and relax more easily. The solution in the drops in made from a blend of natural oils. These oils include sunflower seed oil, lavender oil, eucalyptus leaf oil, scots pine leaf oil, and peppermint leaf oil.
The presence of lavender in this natural oil mixture means that it actually works quite well at helping you fall asleep. And as someone who has suffered with insomnia for years, I really appreciate that benefit of the AirSnore drops.
The AirSnore mouthpiece and the drops don’t have any known side effects. However, you may find that you drool more when using the mouthpiece device. Also, if you have sensitive skin, the natural essential oils in the drops may cause you some irritation.
